Till all are one.

I finally got both versions of this truck made. I originally made the darker version, with the black blanket stitching, based off the colors of the cartoon. Which, let me tell you, is difficult when no two shots are the same. And that's ok. The second one was based off a G1 anniversary toy. I'll let you decide which you like better. I think they both work just fine.

These were made in the wake of the passing of Peter Cullen. I wanted to make something for me and my dad. It's not much, and doesn't stand out amongst all the farewell art out there, but it means something to us and that's what matters.

I’m pretty happy with the design, overall.

I’m not particularly proud of how the first one turned out, however, but it works well enough as a magnet on my fridge. It was my first time trying a blanket stitch, as I wanted to add felt to the back so I didn’t stick a magnet directly on the stitches, but it’s clearly not agreeing with me and my style of “do all the stitches!”

I had cut the plastic to a width of at least one square, I guess, of the stitches. I used two strands for the blanket stitching, but thinking I should have stuck with one.

The second one, the colors are adjusted, and the blanket stitching was done in one strand of white. I think it looks cleaner as a result.

I grabbed a toy from my dad to match these colors to it. Not perfect, but I think it turned out looking pretty nice. This resulted in a lighter grey, a lighter dark blue, a darker electric blue, and a brighter red. It's otherwise the same as above. I had just as much diffculty as before cutting the felt and stitching it together.

I'm glad I was able to make these. Optimus Prime isn't my favorite, but he still holds a place in my heart.
