I did this piece a while back, and it's what got me back into cross stitching. I'd done some while I was a kid, but not really since. I had a couple of small kits that I worked on around the same time as this.

Having really gotten back into cross stitch, when Polar Lights came around again last winter, I felt ready to take on designing something for a bigger project. It took some time to decide if I wanted to do something more generic, or something that tied into the piece I would write. Well, I decided to go with a tie-in.

It’s done! Yeah, the frame’s not square, it’s stretched weird, and I wasn’t able to do all the bits and bobs that I wanted, but I’m proud of it. It looks cool. It got 2nd in counted cross stitch at my county fair (out of five, so I’ll take it).
